In ’Rendezvous With Destiny’ your players take on the roles of paratroopers of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment (PIR)
of the US 101st Airborne Division. They will jump into German-occupied France, and fight to secure the success of Operation OVERLORD,
the Allied invasion of Normandy.
This campaign book contains all the information the GM needs to create intense and exciting stories, fighting and striving
to win the battle for Normandy.
This battle will pit them against the worst that the Germans can throw at them, and pit them one against the other in a
struggle of honor, loyalty, and vengeance.
June 5th, 1944. The war is about to get real for you. Lace-up your jump boots, tighten your parachutes, check your reserve,
strap on the leg-bag and don't forget your M1. Help your buddies clamber into the Dakota then take your place among your "stick".
Nazi Germany thought they would sweep their enemies aside in an all-conquering blitzkrieg.
But they weren't ready for the resolve of the Allies, they weren't ready for the dedication of the 101st Airborne,
they weren't ready for the outrage of the Screaming Eagles - they weren't ready for you.
Rendezvous with Destiny is the first Campaign Supplement for the War Stories RPG. You take the role of soldiers
of the US 101st Airborne Division during Operation OVERLORD, the invasion of Nazi-occupied Normandy, in June 1944.
You will decide how to take the war to the enemy - from the opening parachute jump into France, destroying German resistance
and liberating the people, capturing key objectives and silencing German artillery, to the battle for Caretan
- a critical objective that could decide the fate of the invasion itself.
But Rendezvous with Destiny is more than that: the campaign will make you face the tensions and challenges within your own Company,
and stand shoulder to shoulder against the evils of the Nazi §§, as you fight to liberate France from her long years of occupation.
